University Partnerships

Parkeology partners with University partners to develop special projects for the course to collaborate with. During Season I, Parkeology partnered with music professor Natacha Diels of the University of California, San Diego Survey for the course Electronic Music Techniques III. Students formed teams to develop original compositions for the pipe organ, which were performed and debuted live at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion. In collaboration with Organ for the Senses director Samuel Dunscombe and Organ Curator Dale Sorenson, students were also given the opportunity to perform pieces for celebrated composers of electro-acoustic music.
